What should infrastructure managers in small communities know about value planning?
Value planning is not yet a well-known process for infrastructure planners, capital project managers, and city/county infrastructure owners. And yet, the process is a powerful tool for getting the best bang for the infrastructure funding buck, while (often) generating side benefits for community, businesses, and the environment. That’s why the Public Works Board and the Sync team decided to publish an Introductory Value Planning Guide.
The mission of the Public Works Board is to empower Washington communities to build and maintain sustainable infrastructure. Visit the Public Works Board and the Sync team.
A published Introductory Value Planning Guide, including definitions, principles, steps to implement, case studies, and a story example to illustrate how value planning can be done at a small scale and still deliver “wow” results.
